Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development: Design, code, and maintain responsive websites and web applications using front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensure the compatibility of websites across multiple browsers and devices.
- Content Management: Collaborate with content creators and designers to integrate content, graphics, and user interfaces into websites. Implement content management systems (CMS) and provide ongoing support for content updates and modifications.
- UI/UX Enhancement: Work closely with designers to translate wireframes and mock-ups into visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces. Implement user experience (UX) best practices and conduct usability testing to optimize website usability and accessibility.
- Backend Development: Develop server-side functionalities using programming languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby. Create and maintain databases, manage server configurations, and implement APIs to integrate web applications with external systems.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance issues, such as slow page load times and inefficient code. Implement caching mechanisms, optimize code, and utilize best practices for web performance to ensure fast and smooth user experiences.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of websites and web applications to identify and fix any functional or technical issues. Perform browser compatibility testing and ensure error-free functionality across different platforms.
- Security and Maintenance: Implement security measures to protect websites from potential vulnerabilities and cyber threats. Regularly update and maintain websites, monitor performance, and perform backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and project managers, to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure project timelines are met. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and share knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as a Web Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including frameworks like React or Angular.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with server-side programming languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby, as well as databases like MySQL or MongoDB.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
- Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with web security best practices.
