Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement effective strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Analyse market trends, competitors, and customer need to identify areas for growth and create a roadmap for business development activities.
- Lead Generation and Prospecting: Conduct market research, cold calling, networking, and other techniques to generate leads and establish contact with potential clients. Identify key decision-makers within target organizations and initiate meaningful conversations to understand their requirements.
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders through effective communication and regular engagement. Understand their needs, challenges, and goals, and present appropriate solutions and value propositions to address them.
- Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that clearly articulate the company’s products or services, unique selling points, and benefits to prospective clients. Customize proposals based on client requirements and engage in negotiations to secure profitable deals.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets by closing deals with new clients. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition and account handover after securing new business. Continuously assess sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies. Monitor competitor activities, identify industry challenges and opportunities, and provide insights and recommendations to the management team.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align business development efforts with overall company goals. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of client projects and the delivery of exceptional customer service.
- Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospects, and client interactions using CRM software or other tools. Prepare regular reports and provide management with accurate sales forecasts, market analysis, and business development progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
